Come along three times, on me
Simply Tarot Circle runs on Zoom every Sunday, 7 pm – 8:30 pm (UK Time). We pull a card together and talk about what it is actually doing, rather than what the book says it does. Then we work through whatever the week has thrown at people, and we finish with practice readings.
It is a conversation, not a lecture. You can keep your camera off, you can say nothing for the whole session, and nobody will chase you for it.
This is the bit that stops people. They decide there is a level you have to reach before you are allowed in a room with other readers, and there is not.
Some of the people there have been reading for years. Some are three weeks in and still checking the little booklet that came with the deck. Both get more out of one Circle than a month on their own, because the thing you cannot do by yourself is hear how somebody else got to a completely different answer from the same card.
I learned tarot on my own, out of books, and it took me far longer than it needed to. The books were not wrong. What was missing was anybody to ask me why I had landed where I landed when somebody else read the same card another way.
That question is the whole thing. It is why the Circle exists, and it is why I keep it small enough that everybody actually gets a turn.
