The “are you a real person” check

Most of the forms on my site, and the checkout, run a check in the background that makes sure a real person is sending them rather than a bot. You don't have to tick anything or pick out pictures of traffic lights. It just looks for the signs of a real visitor.

Now and then it gets it wrong, and you'll see a message saying your form or your payment didn't go through. That's most likely when a page has been open for a long while before you press send, because the check can time out.

• Copy anything you've typed, so you don't lose it.
• Reload the page and try again.
• Still stuck? Try another browser, or turn off any ad blocker or privacy add-on for my site, because those can stop the check running.
