Recording a reading
This is a members' feature. Join Simply Tarot to use it.
Save a whole reading into your journal and look back on it whenever you like. Brilliant for spotting patterns across readings you'd never notice one at a time.
- In the journal, choose Record a Reading, or reach it from the Tools menu.
- Pick the deck you used.
- Choose a named spread if you used one, or just log the cards on their own.
- Add each card to its position. It draws the real card images as you go, using your uploaded deck photos where you have them.
- Write your reflections against each card and against the reading as a whole.
- Save. It lands in Your Readings, ready to reopen any time.
If a card hasn't got a photo yet, it shows as a numbered frame with the name on, so the reading still makes sense, it just isn't illustrated. Add the photo later (see Adding your decks and uploading deck photos) and it fills in.
Changed your mind about a saved reading? Open it from Your Readings and you'll find Edit and Delete on it. Edit loads the whole thing back into the recorder so you can change the cards, the reflections, whatever you like, then you hit Update reading. Delete removes it for good, so it double-checks with you first. They're yours, so you're the only one who can touch them.
