Simply Tarot Workshops

Once Every Couple of Months

Once every couple of months I run a free workshop on Zoom. Sixty minutes. One specific bit of tarot, taught live, with whoever wants to be in the room.

You get an hour of teaching on one topic, with space for questions and the chance to hear how other people are reading the cards. At the end I’ll mention what comes next if you want more, but you don’t have to want it.

Why I Run These

I learned to read tarot from books, like most people. I bought decks, memorised meanings, sat there with a guidebook in one hand and cards in the other trying to stitch what I was seeing to what someone else had written.

Gord Reading Tarot

It worked, sort of. I could give a reading. But the cards weren’t really telling me anything. I was telling them what to mean.

The thing that actually changed how I read wasn’t another book or another course. It was sitting in a room with other people pulling the same cards and hearing what they saw. Someone else would notice something I’d looked past for years. And there’d be a moment where my whole sense of a card shifted, just from listening.

That’s what these workshops are. One hour at a time. Stop reading alone, even if it’s just for an hour.

Just Tarot. No Bolt-Ons.

Simply Tarot is simply tarot. Not tarot and angels. Not tarot and mediumship. Not tarot and astrology. If those are part of how you practise, brilliant, take what works and leave the rest. None of them are required to be in the room.

The Next Workshop

How to Ask the Cards a Better Question

  • Sunday 30 August 2026, 4 pm – 5 pm (UK Time)
  • 60 minutes, live on Zoom
  • Free, replay yours to keep

Bad questions get bad readings. That's the whole thing.

This workshop's about the questions that quietly sabotage a reading before you've even pulled a card. The ones that ask the cards to predict, or to decide for you, or that are so vague the answer can't land. We'll go through the categories that don't work, how to reframe each one into something the cards can actually help with, then practise live with real questions from the room.

Beginners get something out of it. So do people who've been reading for years and still walk away from a spread feeling like they asked the wrong thing.

At the end I'll mention what comes next if you want to keep building this. Simply Tarot Course is the structured version. Simply Tarot Membership is the ongoing weekly version. Or carry on with what we did in the hour, on your own.

Coming Up

How to Build a Relationship with the Cards

  • Sunday 18 October 2026. Time to be confirmed.
  • 60 minutes, live on Zoom
  • Free, replay yours to keep

Understand the fundamentals, then bring your own spin to them. You work through a few cards with everyone in the room, the standard meanings get unpacked, and the question running underneath is whether anyone's reading of a card is ever wrong. Sign-up opens closer to the date.

What does it cost?

Nothing. It's free. There's a short pitch at the end for the course and the membership but you're not on the hook for either.

Is it recorded?

Yes, and the replay's yours to keep. If you sign up you can watch the live one or come back to the recording whenever.

Do I need any tarot experience?

No. The workshops are built so somebody who's never pulled a card can follow along, and somebody who's been at it for years still gets something out of it. Bring a deck if you've got one.

I'm not in the UK, can I still join?

Yes. The time shown on the page converts to your local timezone automatically, so have a quick look before you sign up. The UK slot is set up to work for most of Europe and the US too.

What's the pitch at the end?

At the end you'll hear about three things: Simply Tarot Membership, Simply Tarot Course Level 1, and Simply Tarot Course Level 2. Pick what fits, or none of it. The workshop's done either way.

Will the workshops repeat?

Yes. Each one runs more than once a year. If you miss this one in June it'll come round again.
